I have a Jio STB which has the cable port and I am also having an active Hathway cable connection. I connected the Hathway cable wire to the Jio STB port and waited for about 5 minutes. The STB detected only 3 channels.
So now my 'Jio TV' interface in the Jio STB has completely changed and I see those 3 channels. Even if I disable the 'Jio TV' app and enable it again or even if I clear all data and cache from it, it comes back to this changed UI. When I disconnect the cable wire from the STB and start the 'Jio TV' app, I still see the same 3 channels but I get a message saying 'Your box is not receiving signal'.
Attached below are the pictures of my changed 'Jio TV' interface.

Out of the three channels, only this 'My Hathway' channel seems to be working.

PS: I am not an expert in clicking photos (dark light, night mode, etc). I did the best that I could do. So I hope the pics are decent enough to understand the UI.

Maybe or maybe not it’s always the set top box manufacturers who would develop the software for their hardware. And since this is android based. I think it’s the just an apk so any good company would’ve developed it

Is Jio going to provide cable TV in their Set Top Box via a Hathway connection?

I noticed today that in the My Jio app if I click on 'Link Account', I see the following options:

I don't remember seeing the 'Hathway' option earlier. I think it has been added recently.

Anyways, I clicked on the Hathway option and got the following screen:

S2.webp

Since I have a Hathway cable connection, I entered the Virtual Card (VC) number of my Set Top Box and clicked on 'Generate OTP'. I got the following message:

S3.webp
(In the above screenshot, I have not entered my actual VC number for security purposes. But I got the same message when I entered my actual VC number.)

So it is possible that in the coming days Jio might enable cable TV for its Set Top Box with the help of a Hathway connection. Lets see.

I noticed this banner today related to the LiveTV app on my Jio set top box. Maybe they are planning something regarding this.
