Jio is doing scam in data count, I guess. Yesterday, I used harldy 3 GB data but MyJio app shows 9+ GB

I have suspected them for a few months but have kept quiet as there is no way to prove this

Yes, I have also observed that consumption of data shown is much more that actual use.
How to keep track? Any means to monitor actual usage?

I noticed 4GB data usage around 6AM and my router was switched off then. Either this is a error report or WTF situation ??!!

Data consumption stats are generally updated every 24 hours or so. And there's nothing we as users can do about it because at the end of the day the telecom service providers data logs are the ones they count as authoritative.

Open a dispute with the provider and see what happens. Because in the past they used to clearly mention CPE logs are not considered for data consumption stats.

I have noticed the same after paid plans went active. Last week I was out of town, the modem was off and yet 4Gb was deducted. I assumed it might be a delayed accounting for data used earlier. Now everyday I see much higher deduction than usage. Considering how miserly Jio has become with data with low FUP and limiting upload speeds, I suspect this is willful. I wonder why they are so miserly when small ISPs are offering unlimited plans for low prices?

Router may have some option like 'traffic statistics'. Turning it on should give you the amount of data used by each dhcp device.
