Airtel/Vodafone have blocked partial/advance payments on landline/broadband/postpaid bills from third party apps

checked airtel broadband. only airtel app seems to support it. third party apps seems to be fetching bill and if no payment is due, refusing to proceed. tried in Amazon and PhonePe.

Oh that's bad, it's the same for postpaid mobiles too. Just checked on Amazon.

I really liked the fact that we could pay any amount for postpaid connections. I do that to avail offers and things like that. I hope other operators don't start to follow the same.

BSNL Broadband used to be like this always. So not sure, if its something that operators could always choose and Airtel & Vodafone have decided to opt for it now or something that BBPS has imposed.

Via Airtel App,using Amazon Pay was able to pay a smaller amount as advance (10+ cashback on 200+ amounts)
