I guess no more migration plans for me.

So, I just recharged the 199 plan and it got activated immediately. I am still getting the notification for installing STB. It was there even before I recharged the 199 plan. Not planning on getting STB installed, otherwise they may force me to convert to bronze or silver plan.
you can get the STB. it is still worth it for 900 odd rupees
 
@ponnitheunreal will they charge for the STB if I have the 199 plan? If I later switch to a bronze or silver plan, what will happen then?

On a side note, has anyone recharged annual plan? How are you getting the benefits for annual plan?
 
@zervinb you wont get STB for any plan lower than bronze and you wont get any OTT (3rd party) on any plan lower than silver. you cant pay for STB as it is not sold to you but leased/rented.
 
@ponnitheunreal I knew I wouldn't get the STB unless I opt at least for monthly bronze plan. But the thing is, I'm getting a notification in MyJio app for getting the STB installed, even though I have just recharged 199 plan. And this notification was present even before I recharged 199 plan, and it has persisted after.
 
@zervinb That was the case with me too.
You can even book the appointment for STB delivery which I did but they would keep postponing the appointment until you recharge with atleast Bronze plan citing BS reason 'due to heavy demand your request was not serviced.'
 
@MadAxe Hmm. Interesting. There is an option for in-store pickup of STB as well. Wonder if that will work.
 


I think you are eligible to get an STB only if you have a '4K Set Top Box' voucher available under 'My Vouchers' section.
And this voucher is received only on recharging minimum with a bronze plan.
No use of clicking on 'Get STB' links. Like @MadAxe said, you will keep getting the sms 'due to heavy demand ........'
 
Today sales executive called me regarding set top box and urged me to recharge silver plan and also he told me that sunnxt is going to be added and they are starting to issue free cctv camera don't know whether to believe the cctv thing.
 
These sales guys are calling from different numbers & asking to recharge. It's very annoying, upto now received 3 calls today
 
@Vishal | Chennai Did you get another migration plan? Is your internet still on? If you want, recharge with 199 plan. It should get activated immediately. Next time sales guys call, tell them you've recharged 199 plan and don't want STB.
 
@zervinb i didn't get another migration plan my internet stopped working on Friday mid night itself. And i don't want jio fiber anymore planning to disconnect. I thought prices will be disruptive like 550rs 50Mbps 100GB like that but rest is history
 
They gave me a deal that we will give you STB of your choice and Dual Band Router (replace current).

I recharged 4-5 days back. I did everything and they replaced it next day. Since then my modem is showing red light blinking issue and green light blinking issue.

If this doesn't get solved, I will stop recharging the JioFiber and put up the Disconnection Request.
 
@gomfi Whom did you contact for getting the STB and router of your choice?
