I have a few relatives in EKM who have been having issues for months now. Crazy jitter, packet loss and they get like 20-30mbps on their 100mbps connection. Asianet is expanding like crazy and crumbling at the same time. Similar to what Kerala vision was facing a few months back.

They are blocking git access via ssh since yday, cant push code for work on connection. Had to use mobile net to do so.
Very poor customer care response since last week too, I originally plannd to pay 6 months for unlocking the 4000gb per month plans, but they are asking 1500 activation charge when payng for 6 months too. But seeing this lack of response, I have my doubts if they are doing cash grab to nuke my speeds afterwards.
Getting 80-90mbps fairly often after ages on cable, they limited connection to 50 on my last plan change even though they told me 100, feeling like current speeds I am getting is some oversight by them

Asianet has bee pretty stable for me . getting consistent 100 mbps on the 4000gb plan even during peak times almost all sites. But for past 3 4 days their has been issues packet loss, connection loss, but they messaged me saying common issues. Today upon callback they said about fiber issues at on of their nocs. and they said they are fixing it region by region by this midnight.

So what was the total cost for shifting to unlimited plan? 4992 + 1500? or did they tax the activation too?
I am skeptical whether they will push me back to 50 mbps on cable connection even though it currently supports 100, have been trying to get them to confirm me the cost and upgrade for me, but twice they put me on hold and call was cut before they finalized, so hard to get them on line, because of the other areas in kochi with connection issues.

I finish my 500gb monthly with 720p streaming and game downloads, i hate looking to see if I used more than 16gb everyday. Want to upgrade to 4k screens

They are saying so , but i have also got another info saying that 750rs for 6 months plan . Can't really tell exact amount once i get the bill , i will update. By the way its suprising to know they are giving 100mbps on coaxial since they are clearly saying upto 50mbps on coaxial cables on their websites . Anyway there are all sorts of chances for them to capping ur speeds to 50 mbps on coaxial sinces they are mentioning the same. Try to reason with them reagrding this

by the way since u are from kochi u have pretty other alternatives i believe for eg airtel ftth and jio fiber both are available in kochi.Try to enquire about it .

Nope, Jio and Airtel are in areas 500m to 1km away from me, but they are not willing to pull to my road yet, tried many years.
Airtel said it is available in my pincode last week, I was anticipating the moment I could say fuck off to asianet. but local guy said not yet.. some day perhaps..
They gave you unlimited connection without asking to pay upfront?
Docsis 3 modem supports 100 mbps, but they put me in other category for last plan 725 monthly, i got 100 back after i paid just 750x2 months together, got extra 100gb usage too. last call, they promised same speeds in new unlimited too, but I dont trust their words, they say different things each call

if jio and airtel is availble 1km away from you , i think they come to your area sonner as both are expanding greatly since the introduction of new plans , maybe 1year . if thats the case then it would not be worth it to go with with the asianet unlimted unless u have urgent data needs.stick with docsis and wait for aritel to come

as for docsis speeds yes they can support above 100mbps , but asianet is capping them at 50 mbps as u can see at their bottom of their page. if u want a solid answer dont call cc , they wont give u a solid answer . Contact ur local office or nodal in charge of ur area , they will give u a solid answer.

the only point of contact I could get them in last week is through the new connection number, and they made someone call me back instead.
No response in emails too.
Airtel is direct I guess, I have not seen, I know it is there in an apartment near me. last call also they said it is only in that area. Only bsnl has fibre on my road and unfortunately, they will be one of the last to give big data plans

if its direct they may take time as their fiber to deploy in ur area , also if its underground it again takes time for getting required permissions and all . only lco method is faster

definitely not coming underground, interlocked brick road here. no free gaps. If only remote software jobs are available next year too, will be stuck here, I will have to rely on asianet mostly, they say these are introductory plans, did they mention if plans pricing will change for customers getting it after offer is over? I will have to wait till they fix their internet in other regions before i get solid answers

Nope they didn't say anything like that atleast to me. Maybe they will change it but once u got a plan it stays as its till its validity expires . They may or may not change plans depends upon other like bsnl airtel jio fiber with their plans. U won't be getting any solid answers from their cc regarding plans, atleast with me they were themselves confused about the plans. If u can get contact with ur area in charge or something it would be better. By the way their gigafiber is pretty stable for me in my area. I think the performance differs from area to area

They are asking another 1500 + tax for upgrading to fiber when it is available, told me it was 1000 2 weeks before,
if I can get 100 mbps on cable, I will take unlimited plans.
If not, I will just stay on current plan, it is cheaper to drop them later and then apply for new fiber connection starter plans.
Will just wait another week and see.

Even if u drop the connection, they will consider u only as reconnection case not a new customer ,
