NextDNS

if the primary purpose is blocking ads, isn't it a good idea to use adguard? i don't know if the service is paid though.

Adguard gives me 250ms latency and doesn't block mobile app ads, system ads etc..

that should not happen. keep an eye on it, maybe it would switch to a closer server after a few hours?

I'm talking about the DNS servers under the linked IP section. I configured that DNS in my router level and call http url(appended with the ID) to link my public ip. This linking ip part i automated using automagic app(similar to tasker) which would run in my firetv for every few hours.

This setup was working fine without any problems till my free limit got over. So I created new account and configured firetv automagic to link the public ip by running new account URL in alternate days. Basically it's like Monday linked ip established using first account url and Tuesday it will be done using second account's url.

But this was not working and on closer look, found that the DNS servers between the two accounts are completely different. I tried to create different profiles in the second account to match the same DNS servers as first account, but I never got one 🙁

So NextDNS revealed a quite interesting ping by google
