How you got the STB btw?
The app asking for delivery for 199 rs or pick up from the store. Do I need to recharge for the monthly plan to get STB, because the validity of preview plan is still till 29 Dec.
i called up customer care and they scheduled the home delivery for me. There’s no charge.
I got the STB today. Process was smooth but the installation guy admitted that this was his first installation. I helped him through the process.
He asked to me pick a base plan first. I did the silver 1 month recharge. That plan got queued up. Then after filling in my details in his app , he scanned the STB box and I got an otp. I used that otp and I got a message that I have redeemed my free STB.
He connected the box via Ethernet cable to my CPE and the box rebooted 3-4 times and did software updates.
I was able to pair the box via my mobile remote (JioHome app) and everything is working great. The box is quite fast.
In myjio, my old preview plan which is valid till 11th Jan is working. The plan that I paid for is queued up. I am not sure if the paid plan will get activated after 11th Jan ,let’s see what happens.
The guy had no idea about anything , so I didn’t probe in much.
