@Dhiraj Isn't there a facility to connect the set top box wirelessly to the router?
And if there is, does it use dual band or only 2.4 ?

Yes you can also connect wirelessly. When the set up was in progress , it detected both my wifi signals (2.4 and the 5 ghz) but I chose to use the ethernet for a stable connection.

I like the interface of JioTV +. It shows everything from all the OTT apps in a Netflix like interface with video previews that starts playing as you browse. Love it.

@Dhiraj dude, my stb looks little different from yours

Maybe they are distributing different boxes based on the location and feasibility of providing tv via LCO in future ? I am a kilometer away from Jio headquarters where everything is dominated by reliance. Literally every building in my vicinity has jiofiber.

@Dhiraj I got the same experience, at the time of ont installation 1 newbie came along with experienced guy, newbie broke the optical connector, which attaches with the small junction box connecting with ont patch cable. Seems like dedicated training is not given to freshers they are straight away sending them to the field.

Does the bronze plan give access to live (star) sports channels?
I know bronze plan does not include Hotstar subscription, but doesn't Jio provide access to live sports on its network?

On Jiofiber, you get JioTV+ when you choose Silver plan and above, which can stream live TV channels that are offered by OTT apps, namely Voot, Sonyliv and Hotstar. So if you choose bronze plan, you will not get access to these apps and hence, no live TV channels (that's what people are discussing here)

Can someone with the Bronze plan provide info on what all is included in the STB ?

@Dhiraj just in time. I was about to write after seeing the Live Channels on my nephew's box. I didn't had much of time to look at all but saw Colors HD Live, Few News (ABP, Republic etc), few sports channels and few live ones that are included in the Hotstar subscription. The guy said that Software is being updated on a daily/weekly basis and new live channels would keep on adding. My nephew is on 1299 plan btw. I plan to explore more tonight once I get a chance.

Yeah, Silver and gold plans have same offerings, except for the FUP and speed. I was more interested in knowing what all you get on STB with the bronze plan that costs Rs.699/-
