I am planning to convert my Full HD TV into a Smart TV. I already have a Airtel Digital TV connection so thought of going for the Xstream box upgrade. But i got to know that i cannot sideload Jio TV or Airtel TV on it. So what should I do?
I do not want to pay for the channels separately just for the sake of keeping my TV connection. (You need to pay for Live channels separately in Airtel Xstream)
Which option would be best for me?

Thank you very much . I got it . Any solution for my mobile cast screening on tv using xstream fiber STB ?@ crazyguy030601
Casting here doesn't mean miracast like thing.
Like YouTube you can cast via all chromecast ready app like Amazon, Sony liv etc

I want to get a streaming box(want 4k) and net connection but not sure what to do. Firestick seems ok but it looks like it has lot of ads like banner of Prime video serials that I don't want to see and you can't turn off, that's why I think it goes for 25$ when in sale in America. Plus you can't set volume on a monitor. Mi box 4k seems good but others in family don't want to buy Chinese. Airtel stb + cable + net seems nice too but seems you can only get refund for box after an year. Moreover I'm not sure if you can get free installation with 499 on 3mo or even 6mo plan. Jio I don't feel like getting and it has a fully locked box. I guess ACT can start giving their box but I doubt they have enough stock and don't think they have capacity to restructure plans but can make it cheaper

Yes but people don't want to buy directly from China here for multiple reasons. I guess it can add a layer of safety who knowst but its not like Airtel or Jio would do something to stop. Also Google also seems to have started ads in google Android TV hopefully they stop it

With airtel Xstream box, the biggest drawback is that the OTT apps won't work if you don't do a minimum recharge of ₹153. It becomes a dead box. If in case in future if you want to discontinue DTH services and just rely on OTT content, you won't be able to do that. That is the only reason, I chose to buy Mi box.

I won't mind with just that as I could remove cable from LCO that I have now. But they also seem to do refunds only after 1 year
