Last year i came to hear about that ftth is available in my city, due to frequent disconnection on my ADSL i went to exchange to complaint on this issue but they told me that FTTH will be available soon and i applied (i know that ffth was so expensive but i really need an internet with faster data transfer). After a week they have called me and told that they are forwarding the procedure but there was problem with LOC. The problem is that there were two LOCs at my area, the 1st LOC agreed to install but as per the area the right to install FTTH goes to 2nd and led to clash between them......Anyway that delays the installation process. I went to meet JTO and after 3 week the problem with LCO has been solved and they installed FTTH connection and charged '2.5k' for the whole installation (fiber wiring + ONT).

I applied for a lower plan to check wheather the connection is stable or like the old ADSL. After a month the connection went down for two days due to low transmission power issue from BSNL side and now it never went down after this [(24/7) assured 🙂]. Right now i'm currently on R777 Plan offering 50Mbps speed.

What i loved from BSNL ~
  1. Speed never dropped down.
  2. Never had any down from LCO side.
  3. Frequent line inspection from LCO.
  4. Support from JTO (most of them are youngsters and they know how to handle).
What i hated from BSNL ~
  1. Higher ping during night.
  2. Annoying Ad Injection (here still happening).

Can you tell what all they installed other than the fibre optic? Pics? I heard they install a ups or something too..
