I have applied for Cherrinet today in Chennai, just applied at 3.30 PM, just in 1.5 hours they came for wiring and connection got activated in 2.5 hours.
They promised 150 Mbps but I'm getting more than that.

Good to know. I hope it stays that way for long.

My Sister's place at Iyyapanthangal has a cherrinet connection.
It works fine when it works,if the troubles start they won't fix it in a timely manner.
They had 999/100 Mbps unlimited plans but recently they limited it to 2000 GB.
I heard that after this change, their network is considerably faster and stable.

I used to have a Cherri connection but latency and speeds to International servers got bad over time so I switched to hathway. Never had any issues with down time though. Can you also post speed test results to Singapore and Amsterdam please.

Anything apart from Google, M$, Amazon and other local sites, content is mostly hosted outside India. I aslo got low Intl speeds during the last few months of my time with Cherri and while I absolutely didn't expect to max out my connection over those servers, speeds were abysmal and occasional latency spikes were also the case.

I'm getting only around 50 Mbps through Wifi, while i'm getting 182 Mbps directly connected Desktop.

Why I'm getting this much my low-speed through Wifi?
Do i need to use a dual-band router to achieve the highest speed?
or anything else to do to get the highest speed?

The speed on the mobile depends on lots of factors, including the router and the mobile itself. In general, if your router doesn't support 5ghz, then yes, please go for dual band router. Please make sure that your mobile and other wireless devices support 5ghz, though.

Please see this article to find practical considerations to achieve higher speeds... Understand Wi-Fi 4/5/6 (802.11 n/ac/ad/ax) . It has a wealth of info.
