Free or Low cost International Calls

Hi,Can any one please tell me details of how to make free or low cost international calls using internet.I already know about yahoo messenger call center, net2phone, dialpad and similar websites. And also free PC to PC calls. I am talking about the things they are using in public internet cafes which are being used to make net to phone calls.In the public internet cafes they have a ordinary telephone connected to internet using which we can make international calls for just Rs. 1 - Rs. 2 per minute. Instead of going to a public net cafe now since we have broad band connections I think we can buy that telephone equipment and have the international calls placed directly from our Dataone connection. If any one of you have details such as Make and model of the phone to be used in VOIP,Member ships that need to be taken from any VOIP providers,Place where I can buy such equipmentThank you.

there are a number of such options available, but none in the region of re.1 or rs.2.. the cheapest one that comes to mind is about rs.4 per minute. check out for `net2phone'. there are also solutions available with `sify', `vsnl', etc. they should be available in cyber-cafes. 🙂

What bandwidth do they consume? Say for 30 mins talk what would be the usage?

I found google talk to consume less bandwidth, Am I right?

I have used hotfoon, from http://66.216.126.201/ --> pc to phone for very cheap rates, infact I used it from the time they allowed free calling...the calling is of good quality. current rates for US are 2cents. I have used others like dialpad.com, poptel.com,etcetera... dialpad when I used it was free to any phone in N.America and poptel to anyphone in the world 😛
I really dont know whether these sites exist or not but I used to use them!
