Jio Care came back with saying they cannot refund recharges already done. Seems like they misunderstood - wrote back

I've not recharged, only bought the vouchers, they are still unused (not yet redeemed). When I redeem it after 10 Oct, I will also need to buy IUC topup, right? If this is not the case, then I'll just carry on with jio until vouchers get over and then port out. As I can use the bought vouchers without additional IUC topup

But If I need to buy IUC topup when I redeem already bought vouchers after 10 Oct, then that's unacceptable, you need to issue a refund. I cannot understand how you can welsh out of that. You cannot change terms after purchase and still expect the contract to be valid. For such a big company, Jio does not even understand basic laws?

Probably, the second blunder from Jio in recent times. First one was with respect to JioFiber. Everyone had hopes on IPTV. Now, this IUC madness. People would get angry when they can't connect to another operator. Life should be simple. Jio is making it hard to communicate with the recent IUC topups.

Agree 100%

TRAI has been another villain for sometime now. After screwing DTH earlier this year where I am paying 200 Rs extra per month and watching some 50 less channels, they have given another shock. So what next, they must be now eyeing wired broadband also. Crony capitalism or democratic socialism at its best where government/business powerhouses nexus is looting common public left and right. This is the modus operandi all over the world. That is why government is not part of the problem but it is the actual problem. And when you think that these people are just puppets in hands of bankers, wonder where this chain goes to the top.

If recharges before October 10 will not be affected, then I can breathe easy for some 2 months now. I did two recharges of 399 (voucher discount of 50) for 84 days validity within the last 15 days for my family.

If what I am assuming is true, users who have very less validity left in their current packs, they can do a recharge before 12 midnight...it is just 1.5 hours left now.

I am really amused to see how naive people are acting........ this has been their strategy all through.... they are not here to do charity....... they are here to fuck you all...

This reminds me of a scene from a movie starring Ed Harris (Senior Police officer) & Sean Penn (New recruit). Now Ed is explaining the strategy to catching crooks through a story.... it goes like this...
There was a bull standing on top of the hill with his son and there are many cows downhill...... Son says "Hey pap, let us run down the hill and let us fuck a couple of cows"........ Bull replies "Son, we will go silently & slowly and fuck them all"

It doesn't matter if it's the BJP or congress.
Mota bhai will get his job done.
During the Congress rule he got the spectrum at throwaway price.
Now he's manipulating trai for his own company's good.
I'm very horrified by the way the things are happening.

Actually TRAI was acting like Jio's poodle and doing all they wanted. But after AVOID went to court over IUC and Jio-TRAI saw the tide turning, this is the new underhand strategy they've come up with. Let the changes they want come through what would appear like people's pressure on TRAI. Else they could have just raised plan charges instead of this melodrama. Anyway, no dearth of gullible people who will do just what they want.

Of course, not to say that Vodafone and Airtel are pro-consumer, but compared to Jio they're like babes in the wood.
