if there are telegram users here, it might be a good idea to start exploring proxies for the app already. there are a lot of free ones available. some add promo channels in your list like this one (MTProto - Telegram proxy server | Connect). if you have a vps, you can also install and host a proxy for your own personal use (TelegramMessenger/MTProxy). a proxy with latency of under 200ms works very well. you should not see any major degradation in performance.
of course, if you are already using VPN/warp/etc on a regular basis, this should not be needed.
remains to be seen how this case proceeds. if telegram is indeed banned in india, i can see future targeting of other apps like signal and wire. apps which are not widely used in the country but provide a good solid alternative to whatsapp.
