So basically i quit playing DotA 2 for like 6 months ,when i started playing again recently i noticed the ping on SEA servers increase to 150ms before i use to get like 50-70ms,but the ping on other SEA servers like Discord,Rocket League and PUBG is fine(check the image below).I'm from Hyderabad on 699 Plan. Can anyone of you from Hyderabad on Airtel broadband facing the same issue or is it just me.

Hi! Same issue was happening with the Rainbow Six Siege (Microsoft Azure) few days back. I am unsure about the current status right now since, I have not renew Excitel this month (it's been 1 week I have not renewed because they were down for 1 week before that).

Other people with different ISPs also reported the same issue.

Just yesterday, I noticed that one of my friend playing Rocket League on Twitch Stream had high ping compared to his friends having low pings. (Just asked him, He was playing on NA Servers with his friends from America)

You have to find out the server provider Valve uses for the Dota Servers in Singapore and then do the direct tracert to the Singapore Server to check out where is the issue.

P.S.: Airtel Broadband didn't have this High Ping Issue with the Rainbow Six Siege Servers in Singapore. And, I am currently on Airtel only and I am seeing fine ping in all the games. If there is any way I could check the ping without Installing Dota? Let me know.

Have you tried it on a different pc? General failure is very unusual. Also try connecting ethernet directly to your pc. This looks like a problem with your local network or your pc since the hops aren't even reaching isps router

The ethernet cable is directly connected to my pc,i installed a ping checker app on my phone to check it ,it shows the normal ping 60ms on the same network

I am noticing High Ping to Singapore Servers now on Airtel Broadband. It is happening first time on the Airtel and I noticed it today only. It was fine yesterday. (Checked directly from Modem to PC via. Ethernet, no other router in between)

Avg. Ping and Ping Range to Microsoft Azure / Rainbow Six Siege Servers: 80-110ms (tested on tracert also and it shows 85-100ms)

Tracert to valve singapore server: 85-100ms

It used to be 70-80ms.

@JB700 If I remember correctly, ANI uses Airtel for the transit. Can you do the test as well?

Test 1: 40.65.169.147

Test 2: sgp-1.valve.net

P.S.: I cannot test on Excitel Right now since I have not renewed it yet.

40.65.169.147:

Goes through ANI-IX though.

So i figured it out,it was my firewall which made a ruleblock against Sgp phrase which was blocking it

everything is back to normal now

P.S- it was windows update 1903

Okay. I will check mine and see if it's back to normal for me or not.
