BSNL FTTH in Lucknow?

Has anyone used BSNL FTTH in Lucknow? It is not mentioned in the list of cities on BSNL page (Source
). So is it available? How easy is it convince Babu's to install it? Please share the installation experience, cost and broadband experience.

Note: I cannot switch because the number is with grandparents for ages and they mostly use it instead of mobile. And parent's do not want the hassle of maintaining and paying 2 connections.

FTTH would mean a new number, BSNL FTTH cannot work with the existing number, so yeah you'd definitely end up with two connections.

If you have other ISPs in the area perhaps you could consider that as well, as your specific requirement wouldn't be satisfied by BSNL FTTH anyway.
