Openwrt supports archer c6 v2. But the process seems a bit complicated. And few users had reported issues. Also looking forward to the archer c6 getting TP-Link mesh update soon. I was wondering if something like telnet and setting iptables would work.

Mikrotik hap 2 seems good value for money based on positive reviews (feature wise).

--edit--
I meant hap lite. It's listed on apni dukaan @2.5k

I switched to NextDNS from pihole.
Nice gui with analytics and logs.
Access and lists can be customised just like pihole.

DNS over https and tls is also supported.

Though i do miss pihole's dhcp functionality.

Previously, I used to get BOM but for some reason for the past few weeks I've been getting MAA (Chennai)

My current blocklists,

a. default lists in pihole itself.

b. blocklist project lists - (blocklistproject from github)

c. A pihole reddit forum recommended regex list (mmotti/pihole-regex)
Had to remove the ^track(ing)?[0-9][_.-] entry for torrent trackers to work.

To add, I removed the lists from blocklist project. Quite a few false positives. Eg common torrent trackers in their ad list.
Moved over to the dbl.oisd.nl as mentioned above by @waterloo_sunset . It seems a better option so far.
