Airtel Wi-Fi Calling (VoWiFi) launched officially

How are you guys confirming the calls are going via wifi ? Could you put phone in aeroplane mode switch on wifi and test ?
 
If you put it in the Airplane Mode and switch on WiFi, it doesn't works. There has to be some network connection for it to work. On iOS, right next to network strength, it shows Airtel WiFi instead of just Airtel if VoWiFi is active.

When connected to Airtel broadband does it show Signal bars with VoWiFi and does not show any Signal bar on Jio broadband?
When I tried with Redmi note 7 pro....... it shows no Signal bar and on dialing I get a error message ""Connect to a wireless network" while the phone is connected to WiFi though non-Airtel broadband.
 
Only restricting VoWifi to just Airtel Broadband is extremely lame. Defeats the purpose of VoWifi. It should be available on any Wifi of any broadband provider.
 

Will Wi-Fi Calling work on all broadband/Wi-Fi or only Airtel broadband?
Currently the service is available only for Airtel broadband customers. Soon it will be expanded to all broadband.

signal bar shows up in both cases but the vowifi icon dissapears when connected to jio fiber.

Yes. A Wi-Fi call will be treated exactly the same as a regular call.'

Very interesting we use this option because their signal strength is pathetic but they will bill us for it AND we pay for the Broadband bandwidth used. Vah Vah, Truly Acche Din for them.

Jio's WiFi calling worked on All networks. Tried it on Airtel BB and also Jio hotspot from other phone.
