Yeah now I do remeber what you are saying.. My friend told all those rcs features are already available on Samsung messages by default.
Google is trying to bring it to android through Google messages similar to iOS.
So this rcs is similar to what you told but different in the sense by the app used. Google's one is still in beta mode and it's bit difficult to enable it.
By using Google's one u can send this to any android phone, considering the reciever has also enabled this feature on his Google messages.

Yes its working on my airtel postpaid on iPhone 7+ since 7th Dec'2019. Its working on another airtel prepaid on OnePlus 5 too since morning of 8th Dec'2019.

Please post screen shots of VoWiFi on your mobile.

I tried VoWiFi on Redmi Note 7 pro, Airtel prepaid(Delhi)..... not working.

In first phase its for iPhone user only. Or maybe for people with Airtel broadband. Gradually to everyone. Lets see.
I am hoping for samsung phones next.
