Hi,

I recently moved to Vizag and got 6 months 100 Mbps plan with the idea to work from home.
speedtest.net default server connects to ACT Vizag box with ping of 1 ms and download speed around 70 Mbps
when i change the server to Atlanta, GA i get ping of 260-300 ms with download speed around 30 Mbps.

When i connect to my corporate VPN, speedtest on google speed test show mere 0.2 - 0.4 Mbps
and an internal website (that usually transfer 1 MB data for the page to render) wont even load and forget about screen sharing / online meetings.
These actions work perfectly fine with both Jio and Airtel 4G Mobile data without any issues. I couldn't under why ACT fibernet failing to provide quality of service.

When i watch videos on Amazon Prime, the screen resolution always shifts between low to medium.
I couldn't believe ACT Internet is so horrible.
Apparently they yardstick for internet speed is how fast you can reach to their local hub. It doesn't mean how fast you can get data from a server in the internet.
This is cheating.

Speeds are always to a local server (city and country) whether hosted by the ISP or a 3rd party. NOT to a chosen destination of your choice.
Raise a ticket and get them to deliver on their commitments.

Best bet would be to evaluate other options if the issue persists.

You should be getting 100/100 to the local ACT server at the very least. 70 is not the norm; could be some issue with the cabling.

Speed tests to other servers depend on a lot of factors including distance and server load.
