there are dozens of companies doing that including hathway so I think its proved that it can be profitable if you are not greedy.
Most of the traffic would be peered like 90% which will be free or very cheap according to their agreements. People would be happy if they increase post FUP speed to 10 mbps, 20 mbps, 30 mbps .....or provide reasonable FUP.
Instead of focusing on internet they are forcing everyone to use all bundled crap which no one wants.
We have Only one Broadband Provider in our area DNA Infotel. No other provider not even BSNL. Top Speed is 50 Mbps with FUP 50GB after 2.5 Mbps at Rs.589. But Google, Hotstar, Zee5, Netflix, Microsoft, Apple Website gets above 30Mbps even after Fup limit crossed. was waiting for JIo Fiber but no luck.
@AshishSpidy how often do you hit your FUP limit ? streaming p0rn would be an issue though its not peered 😛 torrent p0rn should be covered

50 gb will be used for other stuff too, all uploading is not included in peered traffic, also I think live straming (youtube) and more than one person would use broadband at home. Jio has blocked all good stuff on mobile so you cannot use mobile data for that.
6 Users streamed Netflix and YouTube at a time. 1 Fire stick TV and My PC are the primary users in my case. I had 56 kbps Bsnl connection then 256 kbps SIfy Broadband After 396 Kbps Dna Infotel.

I talked to all my friends and relatives who went for preview offer and all of them are applying for disconnection and refund except some foolish ones who had disconnected their previous ISPs like Alliance, Hathway, Airtel, ACT, local ISP for JioFIber, they are really stuck now.
