You might be right as they have not announced any date for payment yet and they have not even allowed anyone to subscribe to any of the plans. For example if I want to up my speed to 1Gbps and pay for it, there is no way to do it now. I am sure customer service will have no clue either. This is the stupidest and most botched up launch ever. Let's hope our lines keep working because if there are any disruptions they will claim it is due to the upgrade.
 
The white colored set top box which the malayalam lady has shown in her youtube videos has been discontinued and we will be getting blue colored set top box with coaxial cable point for cable tv.but it would be very pathetic if they give us set top box which wont allow installation of third party apps.it should be stock android with andorid pie and also sideloading apps should be available.
 
I strongly believe that they will start giving paid service from oct 1st week with a new and updated plan like jio durga puja fiber offer or jio diwali fiber offer..till then they would look after logistics and other pending issues.
 
But if jio will be giving cable service via lco tieup then how will they give cable tv service in those areas where they dont have any lco tie up!

Most of these set top boxes provided by ISPs doesn't allow 3rd party app installation i think.
 
I am getting it disconnected as I have used up all the data and for me it is now running at just 1 mbps which I cant tolerate xD. They have told me over the phone that they will come to take the router within a few days and then I will get refund within 15 days directly ot my bank account.

So you are not getting any more high-speed! Why don't you request more data from Jio customer care ?

What a bunch of morons. Their so called sales manager was doing the job of a service technician in my colony today. He too would not comment beyond what crap we see about their plans (with a sheepish smile, all cockiness gone).

refund may take a little more than 15 days 😉

 
They probably have a well thought out strategy. They don't want to repeat the mistakes of wireless where they got people used to a lot of very cheap data. This way they can offer temporary freebies to sweeten the deal and slowly get people used to reasonable prices. They might be going for a smaller number of high paying users rather than more low paying ones. In addition they don't want to compete with their own 4g services.

They actually think their freebies will attract customers 😑😏😋

1. How many had surrendered their ISP and took the JioFiber connection?
2. How many still hold their old ISP along with the JioFiber?
3. How many are planning to surrender JioFiber?
4. How many are hoping for rate cut and/or FUP from JioFiber increases in the coming days?

2) Most ppl in my colony who had Hathaway, still have have it. They used that & Jio because the common refrain is 'we don't trust them'😋. Isn't that a telling commentary of ppls trust in Reliance???
