The sold mainstream media is singing praises over these plans on their websites, but when you look down to comment sections, people are just mouthing out fire, especially the ones who got trapped in preview offer. A friend in Calcutta used to tease me over his 1100 GB per month in preview offer. I am now waiting anxiously for the time when we get in touch over chat or phone in the night.

My area only gets bsnl, airtel and jio.
Bsnl is shit so forget it.
Airtel I was paying 1200 for 300 gb data with 40 mbps speed.
If I take 849 plan then in Jio I will pay 1000 for 400 gb data at 100mbps.
So, Jio still provides better value but I needed 600gb minimum. 1299 plan will cost 1500+ which I don't wanna spend. So, for time being will stick with 849 plan.

I just changed title from Engineering to Jio fiber 😛
Decreasing the FUP will be very difficult in the tier I and II cities as there are too many players around, but there can be price increase. There cannot be a sudden steep in price also, say by 50%. A 150 increase in 750 plan will be maximum the ISPs can think of, which is 20% increase.
At the current plans of JioFiber, it cannot even compete with Airtel in Hyderabad, so forget about cities where ACT, Hathway, You, Spectra have presence. ACT's expansion to tier II cities was just nick in time early this year.
I feel sorry for people who got trapped in Jio Fiber preview offer.
