Hi Friends,I am using Dataone for last 4 months. and inspite of keeping my machine protected with norton antivirus, mcfee and some spyware removers....i have to format my machine 3 time because of virus.i consulted other people using dataone in my city and found that their machines are also getting frequently affected by virus...Is dataone not secure enough..? when i used datainfosys...whenever a terminal had i virus that machine was removed from the network itself so that the virus does not spread over internet....is there any kind of system in bsnl..are'nt u guys facing such problems..plz reply with suggestions.ThanxSandy

dataone just connects you to the net, with a higher transfer speed than dial-up (to put it very simply). even if you connect via dial-up, to the sites you had via data-one, and d/load the same stuff and execute them, you'll still face the same problems... dataone helps to make the process faster. dataone just allows you to connect to the net. what you d/load etc. is not their concern. the same holds true for all the isp's (am not talking about the cable wallah who gets a fixed bandwidth and then distributes the same via lan) 🙂 pupudada

Hi Pupudata,Thanx for your reply....well i frequently download cracks..so i guess virus ans sypwares could be because of this..anyways...would take care next timeSandy

Just as a side note ( I dont know if this post will be banned later on )Many of the crack sites ask you to download / install some browser add ons like a search bar or something like that ... before you download any cracks ...DO NOT ... I repeat ... DO NOT do that ...That way, you are defnitely gone ...( pssst ... you can still download the *patches* without having to install the search bars and stuff ... )

i would like to add at this juncture, that there are freeware applications available for quite a number of categories... and quite a number of them are excellent.. if not better than their paid counterpart.. why not use them. again play safe and scan all the files that you d/load before executinbg them.. set the options of your a/v to scan inside archives (if that option is available).. use excellent freeware like `spybot search & destroy', `adaware', `spyware blaster', `avg antivirus', and last but not the least.. `firefox' browser 😀 pupudada
