Wanted Broadband connection in Thane(Mumbai)

Hi Everybody,

One of my friends, who lives in Thane (Mumbai), wanted a broadband connection. She doesn't want a MTNL connection though.
Now i don't know anything about Thane and the Service Providers there.
Could someone guide me on this and tell me the service providers available in Thane. You could also tell me which one would be better.
I would be grateful if you could also specify the Tariff plans for the respective Service Providers.

hey guys i have jus shifted to thane ,, n m searchin for a gud broadband service which has hub\Lan facilities in it ,,, previously i was stayin in dombivili,, wherein i had all these, cud ny plzzzzzz suggest me nythin abt this !!!!
 
Do not go for YOUTELECOMthis is what is faced with you telecomDue to the following problems faced by us, we are forced to discontinue your Internet connection. 1) Promised a contengention ratio of 1/4, but given 1/8. 2) Even with 256kbps bandwidth, I was not getting above 30-40kbps. I tried downloading from local pune server but got 10kbs only. From Microsoft sites 20-25 kbps 3) Fibre outage lasted for many days and caused lots of problems 4) The local DNS servers fails many of times, and we have to re-boot our machine many a time in a dayI am fighting to get my deposit back.....byeBrijesh Shah
