I have some loose information to the contrary. At least, there could be two models, one with Co-axial input for sensitive areas giving the option to customers and another without. Anyway, TRAI's STB portability is also on the way soon.
Above could also be a strategic leak. Let us wait and see, More rumors and planted leaks may be on the way too.

My guess is that Jio will take the signal from LCO's at their start point (When they get it from the satellite, not sure about the tech terminology, maybe head end) to inject into their systems the benefit could be getting a more varied range of channels especially those relevant to particular areas.

this is the old model there are other old videos on youtube of this model. This do not match with description of setup box announced on AGM.

They might launch different boxes later to counter the Airtel STB + Gaming Box. If they have tested that specific box, there might be a purpose to it.

Maybe they will use Nvidia for premium Giga Fibre customers who are into online gaming in a big way .
Ya its possible , saw an article mentioning that jio and nividia shield could launch android tv console and this is from 2016. Search on google , you will find many articles.
