Hello,

Follow Your World was launched more than eight years ago as a simple way to find out when new images were added to Google Maps and Earth. For a long time, it was one of the only tools to help users figure out what's new. Since then, Google has developed new ways to stay up to date on the latest map updates—read about them below.

We plan to shut down Follow Your World on September 30, 2019. On that day, you will no longer be able to access the site and all Follow Your World data will be deleted from Google servers. Here are some next steps to consider:

Download your data
Log in to the Follow Your World app to save a copy of your points of interest and download them as a KML file. Please be sure to save a copy of your points before the shutdown date, when all Follow Your World data will be deleted from Google servers.

Learn about imagery updates
Explore a map of new 3D coverage in Google Earth—and coming soon, a map of new 2D satellite coverage—or subscribe to Earth on Medium for periodic imagery updates. We’d also love to hear from you: Submit feedback via the Earth app, Google Play or the App Store, and tell us where you’d like to see an imagery refresh along with a screenshot centered on your area of interest. We use this feedback to help inform where to refresh our imagery in the future.

Thank you for supporting Follow Your World over the years. If you have feedback, visit the Google Earth Help Community.

Sincerely,
The Follow Your World Team
