why do i think that this is to push customers away from dth to jio iptv? making dth insanely expensive was not bad enough i guess.

TRAI wants mandatory KYC of new and existing DTH set-top boxes, to be completed within 2 years

The TRAI has now made it mandatory for DTH operators to perform a KYC for all new and existing customers. KYC of existing customers will be required to be undertaken within two years.
