Speeds minimum 100 mbps and going up to 1 gbps.

Plans starting Rs. 700 per month going up to 10k per month.

Should i assume 1 gbps in 10000 per month?

Now we have another timeline - September 5th to check out official plans on jio.com website 😀

700rs for 100 mbps sounds good , lets see the fup and if there is iptv included or not.
Otherwise , in various metro cities 100 mbps unlimited is available at Rs 500-600.

10K is likely to be a corporate plan. Makes no sense for any household. Even if it comes with 1gbps unlimited and support for 10 TVs.

He did say during the testing phase people were using more than 100gb(s) per month. Lets hope the FUP is reasonable (would be better if there is no FUP 😛)

Or maybe the plan that has all bundled services including on release day movie streaming? Still makes no sense tbh.

lol 100GB / month is nothing, my house consumes 1500 Gb/month on an average. No we do not use torrents, all the data goes into streaming, and connecting CCTV cameras over WAN. I would love to see minimum 2000 Gb FUP, or better no FUP.

I am worried abt that statement only, as he said more than 100 gbs , if by chance he sets fup below 1000 gb, then it makes no sense.

That could be true. Since, Jio hasn't increased the prices of 4g plans, despite the increased debt, they are going to keep the prices of fiber (based plans) higher than market rate. Home users in tier 1 cities may find it high, due to local LCOs that offer unlimited data at a lower rate. However, there are still hundreds or thousands of businesses (not home users) in tier 2 / 3 cities that don't have reliable fiber based internet. They wouldn't find the rates as high. For example, I run a business and I'd happily pay 2k per month (or ~2.5k per month with GST) for 100mbps (the minimum speed that Jio promised) for a limited data plan (my business and my friends' businesses don't need unlimited data). Home users may need unlimited data at a lower price due to completely different use-case (streaming, gaming, etc). So, I really wish that Jio concentrates on businesses initially, then test their strategy on home users with IPTV, home automation, AR, etc at a higher price than market price.

Exactly, tier 2-3 cities don't have the luxury to choose from multiple isps that provide fibre connection. Here at my place there is no fibre internet at all as of now. And im still paying 1800/- per month for a unlimited 7mbps plan and another 1000 for bsnl bb. So for people like us who are spending this much don't mind paying the same if we get speed boosted from 7 to 100! And still it will be cheaper than what i am currently paying.

So Jio gigafiber/ Triple Play service will be flop show in cities unless they provide good streaming content......... and in Tier 2/3 cities there won't be as many customers.......

I was right about one thing that Jio will launch through LCO's....... so it will be as good/ bad as per the LCO....... No better than Excitel etc..... In fact as of now people would rate Excitel better than Jio...... at least they know what kind of service they are getting.....

10K for a Business connection would make a perfect sense since getting a 1gbps on it with a static IP which has FPU limitations costs easily more than 10K. Hell ACT charges 6K for 2.5TB gigabit home connection
