How to replace hard disk in Airtel Digital TV DTH DVR?

Can u tell me what is file format for neww hdd cause my old hdd crashed in the stb and now i want to change it can anyone help me what can be done

i assume the stb interface should have an option to format it? that's how cctvs also operate right?

This is airtel dth with internal hdd it says hdd error even though i put a beand bew hdd

It has a unique boot loader signature. Probably formatted with FAT32 or ExFAT depending on the size of the hard disk or partition. The file system is decided by the manufacturer of the STB.

Better get Airtel to advise you. Though I am doubtful they can help and will suggest a replacement.

I need to change my hdd in airtel dvr cause the one that came with the stb has gone faulty
I put in a new hdd but it shows hdd 001 error
I put it in format also frm stb still showing hdd error
Anyone changed or upgraded their hdd in airtel hd dvr
Note it is an internal drive. Need experts to respond cause iam all out of ideas

Thats the problem cant contact airtel device i fine signal is fine only hdd is faulty now that i have changed it i think i need the right format

Having said that, what was the size of the old HDD and what's the size of the new HDD? What partition scheme does it use? MBR or GPT?

there must be at least one blogger out there who has posted details on how he managed to replace the hdd on his airtel dvr 🤔

Nothing i have been seraching for a week. Thing is old hdd drive has crashed so connecting it to pc is not recognised hence cant know the format or mbr/ gpt size

New and old size is same but as i said old hdd crashed so now way to find out format or allocation size
