i have not tried it myself. but find a domain on cloudflare that is blocked on your isp.
try accessing it on firefox after enabling ESNI and doh in firefox.
it should logically become accessible.
so... since my backup airtel line is dead at the moment... i decided to check on airtel using hotspot on my phone.
i was able to get the domain working on firefox which failed to load on chrome.
See the problem is if I set network.trr mode to 2, half of the sites like this site stop opening in firefox. I completely reset the browser, deleted firefox profile and reinstalled it with no addons. Just enabled ESNI. Like Hathway is not somehow blocking ESNI connection.so... since my backup airtel line is dead at the moment... i decided to check on airtel using hotspot on my phone.

Setnetwork.trr.mode
to 2 to make DNS Over HTTPS the browser's first choice but use regular DNS as a fallback (0 is "off by default", 1 lets Firefox pick whichever is faster, 3 for TRR only mode, 5 to explicitly turn it off).
