Fraud websites scamming people into paying registration charges for Reliance Jio Fiber

As gigafiber packages are already displayed (Reliance yet to announce them, likely on Aug 12 in AGM), this web site is fake.

I thought this was just a isolated incident asked around a few friends and turns out many people who they know were scammed and many out of them thought fotlr months it's jio that's jio just collecting money not not giving them the service.
Few people were approached using WhatsApp and text message saying that jio fiber is now available in their area.
And few fell into a scam after registering their interest for jio FFTH on the above mentioned sites here and others.


Here's what you should know before paying anyone
Jio doesn't have a separate domain for giga fiber
Everything is under jio.com
To express your interest in giga fiber it's Jio GigaFiber Online Registration | Register Interest Now!
Anything else out there is fake

Here's more ways you can spot a fake look at the font it's not a notmal font any legit site would use and it's intentional by doing this the users mostly singup there are gullibleto these scams

The phone number provided there is a dead giveaway too (I've seen few local lco's have their own website with plans for few other broadbands but no one would use a international number for it)
Just look at the WhatsApp image that's on that number again should have known this wasn't jio

There's numerous ways to spot a fake but can't go detailing everything so far now if you don't want to be scammed
Just verify that someone in your neighbourhood actually got a jio connection and then pay the LCO that's the best advice i can give.

People wanting to use Internet doesn't know how to use internet.

Most of the kids (except me) nowadays roam in the internet and do such activities ans they get scammed by fraud sites(I am different).

A student of class 7 or 8 knows their parent card password.If not also available,whats wrong collecting it?

If you can use your parents card without their permissions then there are other things to worry about than getting scammed.

This scam is not even very sophisticated, hijacking google results is a very old scam but its used in a different way. Jio can get domain suspended from domain registrar easily for using their trademark.

If they take payment via UPI and Paytm then its sheer incompetence of our police and Jio who do not take any action.

Most users in India use mobile and its a little hard to spot fake sites on mobile. General rule is don't be greedy if something is too good to be true then it is. But if our police is so incompetent then there is not much that can be done.
