The estate of Sherlock Holmes author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is suing Netflix, Legendary and the author, writer and director behind the upcoming film Enola Homes over copyright and trademark issues.
And the Doyle estate is claiming that the Enola Holmes books and movie incorporate something those only later stories included: the famously stoic detective’s emotions.
This is such an opportunistic suit. This movie was announced way back in 2018. Also, the reasoning is absurd. Plus they allowed the novels it is based on but have an issue with the movie.
so watched this today. went in with low expectations and came out disappointed. this movie is very cleverly made to appease certain groups and its working as can be seen on social media. editing was terrible. and of course there are now talks of a franchise with makers of movie suggesting that they have stories for at least five more movies from what i remember reading this week. anyhow... good for netflix. definitely better than the shit they keep uploading every second week.
I find these exclusives quite annoying. It's your show. Only you have access to it. How is it exclusive? it's like republic claiming that they have an exclusive interview with arnab.
Trying to be nice here but the movie is awful. Enola and Tewkesbury are cute but the plot goes nowhere. Also, Eudora was there in harry potter, can’t get that out of my eyes.
