actually it does:

FlashGet Version 1.65 (2004.8)
* Support filesize over 4GB
TIP: How your disk is formatted can limit file sizes too: FAT limit is 2GB, FAT32 limit is 4GB, NTFS is unlimited.
* some small changes
* general fixes

Subject: DAP does not support any download greater than 4 GB

Hello,
This is from a DAP Premium user and my problem is that I am unable to
download properly any file larger than 4GB. Recently I tried to download
some DVDs larger than 4GB with DAP Premium (main module 7.5.0.9). But,
when I added the url of each file to DAP download list, to my surprise I
found DAP failed to report the proper file size for a file larger than 4
GB. A conclusion could be drawn from this incident that DAP does not
support any download greater than 4 GB. For example, DAP reports the
size of the following file -
ftp://mirrors.kernel.org/suse/i386/9.3/is....3-Eval-DVD.iso
as 184.43MB, instead of its actual size 4.18GB.
So, isn't it possible to add the feature of supporting the file size
larger than 4GB?

Their reply:

Dear user,
Thank you for your contact.
Sorry, the maximum file size supported by DAP is 4 GB.

Best regards,
