@popcorn I am already using Hik-Connect app for (LAN) live view using port 8000. But for remote live view I can't use Jio, So I shifted my camera network to local ISP who charge RS. 400 per month with static IP so even I do not have to setup ddns since the ip is static.

Above is the setting for local live View.

I got the port 80 open from the local ISP. Now the remote live view works like a charm.

In Hikvision, if you just register a username (optional) & password & use platform Access you dont need so much of hassles
Unless you need to change config every 2 hrs remotely. I hardly change any config settings once it is set.
In my case, I use the platform access and use the QR code on HikConnect app on mobile and you are good to go anywhere in world with your mobile to see live view. This also is just done once. You can share this to other users using HikConnect App.

Any internet connection with no ports open on NVR/DVR with platform Access , Hikconnect app will show you the live view.

Yes I have configured my new NVR's using platform Access with QR Code, But the one of my DVR(DS-7208HGHI-SH) which is very old whose firmware does not support platform access so sadly I need to add the settings manually and also configure the port forwarding settings in the router😓.

@popcorn I also have a doubt how the platform access on newer NVR's works without no open ports for remote view.

Try this server on Platform Access:
litedev.sgp.hik-connect.com

This is the server on my DVR.

the firmware on my DVR is so old that it doesn't support platform access😅.

For newer NVR's I have dev.sgp.hik-connect.com as platform access

Ohh - This looks like once upon a time there used to be upnp and port forwarding & static ip on cctv... 🙂
You have to live with a Rs. 400/month connection with Static IP !!
🙂

wanted to understand, how you were planing to connect so old dvr with jiofi...
Repeater?

I wanted to connect JioFi(as access point) to a router which is connected to LAN and DVR was connected to the LAN with old school RJ-45.

But currently local ISP provides me PPPoE (over co-axial cable) which is connected to router and other same as above.

@varkey I implemented ZeroTier, But as you can see I get very poor ping results on Jio network, But the Vodafone was performing some what better then Jio since in Vodafone I get assigned ipv4 only. These pings are not good for remote live view 😬.

PS. As you can see Jio is using IPV6 due to which ZeroTier RFC4193 causing overhead (bottleneck) to translate between ipv6 to ipv4 which is the main reason behind poor ping.

Also I am using private node which also results in this poor ping.
Can we use public node? Is it safe to use?

@Nitin Since the Jio is using Double NAT behind us so we cannot switch to ipv4 only, Jio requires ipv6 for for the CG-NAT to resolve host address.

Also I am not using Jio modem, I am using Jio 4G sim inside Jio_Fi
