Excitel
Have been using excitel for the past 3-4 months. Everything was buttery smooth with 0% packet loss but for the last 3 weeks I am getting constand packet loss. It varies from 5%-20%. One fortunate night the loss went all the way up to 50%. I created a ticket on 17th may and have created multiple tickets after that. The excitel people either delete my ticket or tell me that they are working on my issue. How long does it take to fix packet loss issue? a couple of hours? or 3 whole weeks?
One more thing i noticed is that the packet loss increases during night.
I play dota 2. I have attached screenshots below. Horrible service excitel, considering that I was a customers 2 years back and even then your service was awesome.
I live in delhi btw. Pratap nagar area.

same issue happening with me. no packet loss entire morning and noon. started getting packet loss of 15-35% past 6 pm. playing bf4 at the moment and getting 25% loss 🙂
25% loss in discord.

I am thinking of going back to my old ISP. some Alphanet company. the speed used to drop a lot but never got packet loss. I heard that they fixed the speed drop too.

you are atleast seeing packet loss in cmd when you ping the ip. my cmd result show 0% loss but in game i get 10-35% loss. i dont even know how to tell them about this problem as they will just ping ip in cmd and will say that there is no loss.

I am pinging 8.8.8.8 thats why i am getting loss there. he gave me a local ip to ping and i was getting 0% loss. They are masters of making fool of you. ping 8.8.8.8 or ping the servers you play on. you can find their ip on the internet.

i am talking about 8.8.8.8 only.
playing bf4 at the moment and getting 25% loss.

what these excitel guys do is, ping their own gateway ip . obviously it will show 0% loss as its their own internal network. the loss occurs from excitel > outside servers.

same thing happens when i ping bf4 server ip that i am playing on or rocket league server ip or discord ip. cmd shows minimal or no loss while in game i get heavy losses.

Same story here. Can't even play competitive FPS games with that. Got another ACT connection just to play game and keeping this shitty Excitel for wifi.

same issue here. I have issues with FIFA 18. I use VOIP services too, same issue. Hathway is a bit better.

i am also thinking of getting another connection just for gaming. there is a local provider here that is giving 5Mbps for 200 rs. 5Mbps should be enough just for gaming.
excitel has been pretty bad in terms of packet loss this past week. i doubt even if we'll complaint, they'll do anything.
i did not play any games for 2 days now because of packet loss and frequent disconnection problem that i am facing at the moment.

@webie you have excitel fiber right? you are getting loss even on fiber??
if this is the case then it is alarming. you are not supposed to get any loss on fiber.
we should mass complaint and force excitel to change their fault equipments.
i used winMTR and saw that a few of their lan switches have a massive loss of 50-90%

Yup, on fiber. Not sure what fiber is supposed to do but my guess is, they just change wires so that in case if there is a breakage , they don't have to change the whole connection from pole or something. Backend internet/servers remain same. Here is ping loss. it's more than 20%. In Hathway ping loss is not there but pings can be 500+ sometimes on Google DNS. However I connect to Kansas city for FIFA, and it's so bad on both. Even my airtel/jio hospots are far better for that.

played a match of rocket league, netgraph showed 0% loss.
played a match of bf4, in game net graph showed loss of 0-15% but i am pinging the server ip using winMTR and it is showing 0% loss.

on getting packet loss on fiber : after some point people dont care about speed. they want stability. if you're still getting packet loss on ftth then i think it defeats the whole purpose.
i was excited about excitel fiber but after reading that you are getting packet loss even on fiber, i am really disappointed and not excited anymore.
