Need to forward these too to a friend who is getting Excitel Fiber. They are charging more than usual for installation.
Where do the bookmarked posts show up anyway?

Is fiber being offered in these times too? As per excitel helpline they are not providing fiber connections these days due to inventory shortages and current situation.
 
My LCO can provide you as many ftth connection as you like. Excitel only role in this to collect docs and creating ids.
When last mile boxes are already present not a major difference between new connection or repairing it.

Yes, they are. But he (LCO) is charging more for installation than usual which is unethical.
 

Also let your friend know that the onu+wifi for 2k offered by excitel broadcast an extra www.excitel.com ssid which so far i think can't be disabled.
Though its a good router with 5ghz and voip port.

Does Excitel customers on Fiber lines faced issues like Torrent blocking. Any issue you faced on torrents. What is Download and upload speed on high seeded torrents. What is your plan speed. How many downtime on Fiber network and how long it lasted. Any speed downgrade during lockdown.

No torrent blocking ever.
No issues though i dont use it much. Mostly public torrent for few Hollywood movies i cant find any where.
Mostly 10mbps to 50mbps. If its locally cached then only higher end speeds.
100mbps plan.
Less than 3 hours in last 6months.
 
Thanks igloo for the reply. I am also considering taking 300mbps plan. can you post pics of your modem, whether its 802.11 ac. Also you got any offer like free modem on long term recharge. What is the policy of excitel in blocking of websites specially DOT notifications types etc.
Can you post speedtest result with london, usa and singapore servers and openspeedtest result as with delhi servers speed is always good.

They give two option for modem/ont
Ont/modem only for 750
Dual band gigabyte Wifi+modem/ont with voice capability for 2000.
My lco says voice service is expected from excitel soon.
Nothing free for long term recharge as they give good discounts already.
