OpenSubtitles wants me to login to download subtitles through apps

this is a new behavior. happened for the first time today. i tried downloading subs through apps like sodaplayer and smplayer. both fail. instead of the sub, it downloads text advising me to login to the website.



i am not sure if this is because someone using my ip downloaded subs from their website in bulk today or this is a new behavior.

never mind. it's an ip related issue. reboot of a router fixed it.
i am kind of surprised that i have never seen this before!
