Reliance Jio Fiber Queries

I did not get any printed or hand written receipt. What I got was only email and sms. Of course, I did not ask for it too. They were not carrying any printed receipt book too. What they carried was only a mobile with an attachment for finger printing authentication.

I got the receipt in email and SMS. Even though I asked for a physical copy and the sales guy told me they dont give it. It will be issued via email only.

Okay, thanks. BTW, no finger print authentication was done in my case. They take pics of my documents (voter ID card) and take my pic only.

@MSR Murthy @harry10 Do you guys also see this disclaimer in your email invoice receipt?

DISCLAIMER: This is a computer generated Duplicate Invoice copy hence seal and signature not required. Any replacement, warranty, guarantee and product liability claim shall be honoured against original invoice only. Reliance Retail Limited. may, at its sole discretion, relax or waive any of its conditions mentioned overleaf the original invoice."

It says that "this is computer generated duplicate invoice receipt" and customer shall required a original invoice receipt for warranty claim, replacement or refund.

So if we have not original invoice receipt then may be Jio staff will create issue in future for warranty replacement or refund.

@ajgamer I got my gigafiber connection today and was assigned landline number as well. I haven't checked if landline works or not.

However there is one issue I cannot connect to 5 Ghz through my macbook air. Why is that? is it not 5ghz compatible or something?

Hi, It depends upon the model you've for the MacBook. I do own MacBook Pro myself but at the end, it's all model-specific.

Also, Check the type of authentication your 5Ghz is using.

Q1. Is your White Jio Gigahub Express version 1.0 or 2.01 or something else? Check your Jio GigaFiber manual outer cover?

Also what it's model number White JCO500 or black JCO300 or anything else?

Q2. What is your device firmware version and Hardware version?
To check this go to Jio GigaFiber login page 192.168.29.1 on browser of mobile or PC (only work when device is connected with Jio GigaFiber) and then put default User Name is admin (small a) and password is Jiocentrum (capital J) then go to Status» Device Status» System Information.
(Write full number).

Q3. What is current Firmware Date? To check this go to Administration» Maintenance» Firmware Upgrade.

I also have Jio GigaFiber with landline service.
There are few issues/bugs and lags with this service. Do you also face these issues?

(i) There is long delay/ lag (5 to 15 seconds) in out-going calls after dial the number.

(ii) Sometimes, when I call to other person or I received a call then other person cannot able to hear my voice and sometimes we both not able to hear eachother's voice.

It's a very serious issue and due to this a customer can't fully trust the Jio landline service.

(iii) Landline ringing pattern and sound also bit changed and become very irritated.
First there is a single long ringing and then long pause and then again long ringing.
This issue was not with old BSNL copper landline service.
Jio need to improve the landline ringing pattern.

(iv) One thing also which I haven't like that there is no old BSNL landline like Dail-Tone. There is a continuously beeeep sound ( like tuuuu..........) when you pick the receiver.

Reply in steps by steps and in detail.

@SG_curiosity I haven't tried landline yet, but I will update you in the next few days if I am facing these issues or not.

I am not able to find those 25 40GB vouchers in myJio app. Will I get those after i exhaust 100 GB quota or am I not able to find them?

^ There used to be an option for 40GB free recharge on JIO app but weird thing is I dont see it all the time, I mean one day it will be visible and next day it will disappear.... anyway when you are close to running out of data you will receive SMS snd Email with link to get free 40GB data. You can click it as many times as you want to get 40GB packs.
