Reliance Jio Fiber Routers and ONTs

Guys ₹2500 ont got a firmware upgrade (v1.101) few weeks back and after that time taken for stable green light is reduced but time taken to broadcast stable wifi connection is same old 4 minutes only. Looks like they have created a illusion to show like ont is booting faster.

Is there anyway of changing the type of ONT would like to downgrade to the 1500rs one if not is there a way to use your own router with custom settings on the 2500rs version

My original router was having some problems. Basically low wifi speed(just 25-30 Mbps) and rebooting every now and then. So i complaint to CC . Some engineer came over , intially he replaced it with black 2.4 GHz router but on checking that i am on gold plan he agreed to replace it with blue dual band router(4032).

Now problems seem to have increased many fold, ist the apps such as jiosaavn and jiotv+ take forever to start( sometimes 2-3 mins to even 5 mins sometimes). My landline has dial tone but it doesn't make calls to any mobile or landlines, if some one calls me he gets the message that "the number you are dialing is not available". Even led lights are quite irratic sometimes the green light stays stable but most of the times it keeps on blinking.

Just a question from all those who have 4032 dual band router(blue) . What is the status of the green light on their router , does it blink or stays constant? And do they notice slow opening of applications on jio set top box?

My father who was at home while router was changed, insisted that a new box packed router be installed and this router appeared already used but the engineer insisted that he had just removed box for easy transport,and its new and not used. Not sure if it's working alright.
I have a new Xiaomi router(dual band, MU-MIMO) bought from AliExpress for my sister , which when i connect to JIOFIBRE router ,all the apps start instantly without any delay. So i am sure there is some problem with my JIOFIBRE router.

@drsachin which was your previous malfunctioning router single band (black) router Rs2500 or dual band (white) Rs4500?

I got new firmware update few minutes ago

• Still need vlan id for bridge mode
• dms is enabled now
• dmz for ipv6 is added now
• map-t option is removed

I m on a very old version and there have been many releases since than,is there Any way to upgrade the firmware manually. a

So how do they do it than,do they push it as OTA and how can i get the firmware upgraded if i want to.

@crymetyme Yes, it's a OTA, you can't find the firmware file online. One thing you can do is try contacting team f1 networks. They are the guys who developed the firmware for the ont. Other thing you can do is ask for replacement. Jio will provide you dual band modem

I dont think contacting them will help it in anyway and for what reason should jio give me replacement,what should i tell them to get the dual band router
