Is it possible to get two BSNL FTTH connections for the same address?

I already have a bsnl ftth connection. I always cross the fup limit in the middle of the month and get restricted to 2mbps. So, I'm thinking of applying for an additional connection.

My question is, is it possible to do so? Does BSNL offer multiple connections for home use?
 
wouldn't it be cheaper to get a higher data plan?
 
Interesting, yeah that's a good plan if you to use that much data. I don't see that plan on the main BSNL site, is it some special plan? I did see it in BSNL TN site -- Source

To answer your question, I don't see why not, if they give you trouble you could apply it in a family member's name. You anyway wouldn't need the ONT or any additional equipment, just would need to manually change the credentials once you exhaust the high speed limit of your first connection.
 
On second thought, if you have a customisable router which runs on OpenWRT or something, you could even automate rotating the creds every other day so that the usage gets split into both the connections automatically.

And regarding the router(ONU), no, mine is definitely not customizable.
 

^ I wasn't referring to the ONU itself, but your WiFi router. If you get a OpenWRT capable WiFi router, you could just setup the ONU in bridge mode and handle the PPPoE auth on the OpenWRT device in which case you could just have a basic script which rotates the creds every night and re-connect.
 
Yes, I have 2 FTTH connections to the same address. Both are 150 Mbps upto 1.5 TB so won't have a problem with lame 2 Mbps post FUP speeds. I didn't face any problem. Just had to fill out the application again. BSNL would be stupid to turn down additional revenue from existing customers by denying second FTTH connection. Fiber power signal is good for me so the vendor has put a 5 way fiber splitter so I can always apply and get additional connections in the future if required.
 
Haha. Why not? You can even have 5 Connections if you can pay for them on time. 🙂

I had multiple connections myself from Airtel for work.
