Excitel Broadband: Slow Internet Speeds to Many Servers and Locations

^ You're feeling this frustration which I've been feeling for over a week now and since I got this connection to be precise. Can understand. But I know this very well, nothing will help unless people / customers itself on this forum would sleep or won't speak up.

I made the open journey being honest. If excitel can counter any claim of mine? I have Airtel too. They can compare any day how shit they are.

Because, everytime their rep. comes. they say Airtel is shit. But it's totally otherwise, I make a complaint with Airtel now, and it gets solved in next 2 hours.

With Excitel, it's already 2 week now and they are not able to solve.

I think people should value quality > quantity now. You pay for speeds too not just for unlimited FUP.

tbh i dont care about speeds being low on speedtest results since my real life performance was good. like browsing, downloading, twitch etc were working good.

but this packet loss is irritating as i game a lot. it was working fine but starting fucking up like a week ago .

my main concern atm is packet loss. i dont know how to document it and show it to them so they can fix it or at least try to fix it.

@Aakash Malhotra Starting a new thread or posting on other packet loss thread might be helpful since the main concern about this thread is Speed to other Servers. I don't use Excitel for average user purpose. For me speed matters. Wish this could be helpful mate, but we can only hope Excitel could fix it asap.

What I know or think is that all these issues are some-how linked to each other. Because excitel is being shitty from last 1 week only.

Twitch is working badly today - Just confirming.

I didn't had packet loss issue though. I played cs:go multiple times this week, i didn't have packet loss until today. I have speed issues only since 1 week or so.

Some Updates about this Issue:

1. It's the first time that speeds are shit in the mid-night also. Most of the time (almost daily) speeds get normal in the night by 12:30 AM. But it's already 1 AM now and speeds are still shit.

2. Speeds to peered, non-peered, Indian Servers, Non Indian Servers all of them have shit speeds.

3. Additionally, Ping is risen a bit and Packet Loss is huge.

4. I am suspecting that they 'might' be over-selling the connections now or something is broken at their backend since it's not me who is alone, a lot of people on this forum and other websites/groups are facing the same issues.

5. This issue has nothing to do with the LCO. So, If Excitel ask for the engg. visit? It's total waste of time. It's the issue with their backend.

Most Probably, their transit routes or peering routes. It's quite possible that they have bad gateways / routers at their Nehru Palace Office.

6. Companies similar setup as Excitel are facing more or less the same issues. To name one, Precious Netcom. (I feel Precious Netcom is sister / re-selling / dependent / re-branded Excitel only since at one of the gateway, Precious netcom route to Excitel's Gateway without any external routing (like A-->B without linking to any of the peering).

@aniladivishnu.2000 The issue I am facing is from the backend and I'm not alone who is facing this issue, almost all the Excitel Customers must be facing this issue. It's just that they don't come forward and report until last night when the packet loss is so much high.

Excitel has messed up with their backend for sure and I've done a lot of in-depth testing about this too. Other ISPs using the same transit aren't facing this issue but the Excitel or any other ISP who uses it's backend is facing this issue.

So, no matter what? Excitel will have to fix it not for me but for it's whole customer base in Delhi only if people start coming forward and share their screenshots. So that this thread reaches the Excitel's team and they take it seriously.

@ajgamer I had to take hathway for open nat
now I have both ACT Fibernet and Hathway
because oof unlimited data
and over providing the connection
the hathway network is bad
that is why I feel better with FUP
many users do not complaint about there ISP as they value only unlimited data
and do not look at quality of service
thanks

^ Thankfully someone on this forum understands the need of FUP.

I don't like FUP myself but the ISP itself should be strong enough to handle the unlimited FUP.

What most of these ISPs are going to do now is "OVERSELLING".

Most of the LCO's will die with the wrath of all these big corporate laying their Fiber now. To name some, Airtel, Jio, Tata and ACT.

The more capital you've the longer you will be there in the market.

Fiber vs. Fiber will be the real competition in coming days. The network with least down, max. highest speed all the time (not just local but non-peered servers too) will be the leader.

You are right @aniladivishnu.2000 and I feel good that someone understands it very well over here on this forum. 🙂
