BSNL Ftth voip config in IP phone

how can i configure my bsnl ftth telephone, due to some reason my telephone ip got resested, is it possbile to get ip & password everything ? cause i asked bsnl & they said we cant give it ?

Ah you could try that. Add multiple VLAN pairs to a single port.
I can confirm VLAN binding works on this ONT. I can pass upstream VLAN100 as tagged VLAN10 downstream.

Under WAN configuration, I did not assign LAN2 port to any profile.

What you cannot do is assign same VLAN to multiple downstream VLANs like so 10/100, 20/100.

i tired everything they wont give the ip & passoword is there any way that i can get the ip & pasword for telephone .

The only problem i got is pinging the voice gateway. I added static routes but couldn't ping the voice gateway.

After adding one more vlan with 1831 in bridge mode(VOICE_INTERNET), i was able to setup zopier in my android device but it caused so many issues such as not working internet, not able to access the router page..etc.

I was able to make a call with zopier if i setup a bridged vlan after adding static rote.

One thing is so surprising for me. Even without static route, if i connect my ethernet cable, i'm able to ping the voice gateway and the internet is working proeprly(even with the mess i made with bridged vlan). I'm clueless. what is wrong with my wireless interface?

Keeping aside the things i mentioned in the above post, this is what i did.

There are two interfaces one is for internet and other one is for voice. I changed the voice interface vlan from VOICE to VOICE_INTERNET. When i changed from VOICE to VOICE_INTERNET, the problem i'm facing is that VOIP registration fail.

The VOIP settings present in my router is having the SIP address as ap.ftthvoip.bsnl.in. I resolved it and put the ip address(10.187.7.12) instead of domain name. Now the VOIP registered successfully and i see the led light is turn on for TEL.

By default, i'm able to ping the voice gateway but the problem is this gateway is keep on changing and I've to update my static route accordingly.

Now i used Zopier android app and used the sip address as 10.187.7.12 and gave other required details. It is registered but i can't hear audio. Previously, i was able to make a call with no audio issues but something is changed now.. I don't know what it is..

Android apps won't work unless they have a feature that helps replace the local IP with external voice IP. It will work on the first try though using STUN but won't work afterwards unless you restart the app again. Only 2 apps so far, YATE and MicroSIP, work and they don't have android versions.

Regarding pings to gateway not working, inaccessible router page, may be router issue or you have port bindings. And voice gateway doesn't change randomly, at least for me.

Hi Zerocool, If you want to use VOIP calls in simple way, activate the BSNL LFMT service at BSNL CSC at free of cost. It's a Next generation network, which is working only with a static IP. For more information visit FMT_tariff website. Majority of BSNL staffs are unaware the service and don't know the activation procedures too. You can find the activation procedures from the website What is LFMT Limited Fixed Mobile Telephony - ppt download. It has working smoothly in android mobile apps(GS wave). Simply you can use your FTTH number in traditional land phone and LFMT number in mobile phone. Both numbers incoming and outgoing calls are truly unlimited free.

@Ashok M The problem I see with LFMT, is that you now have to use a private static IP address, losing the public IP address that you used to get earlier. Is there a way around that?

Hi varkey, I don't know the negative of private static IP. In my case BSNL allotted a private IP No.100.83.xx.xx. When I tried to find my IP in google search (What is my IP?) It's constantly shown a public IP No.117.196.xxx.xx even after reboot the modem. In my point of view LFMT service is quite good compared to FTTH VOIP and it's very easy to configure in mobile app (scan and use from bsnl NGN portal after login). No need to sacrifice our night sleep for rectifying the routing issue.

@Ashok M Yeah you'd be behind CG-NAT. One of the advantages of BSNL is that you get a public IP address assigned which you'd lose by opting for LFMT. I guess if you don't really care about the public IP address, opting for LFMT is alright.

Guys i just saw a youtube video by BSNL where triple play services where explained. He says we can make landline Voip calls from GSWAVE app installed on our phone. So we should also be able to do the same without any of these OpenWRT and Raspberry Pi and all, right? Also in the video is he talking about an ONU modem or a normal router. Here's the video

Sure, to summarise

1. Configure the voice profile in bridge mode, bind it to the other LAN port on the Netlink and connect that to the IP phone.
2. On the IP phone side, configure the network, it needs to be static and use the details currently in your routed voice WAN profile.
3. Configure the SIP profile on the IP phone.
@varkey I am using Netlink ONT in bridge mode and TP-Link Archer AX10 in PPPoE router mode. I am able to use Zoiper for VoIP if I connect to the ONT, but not when I am connected to the router. How to enable that?
