Configuring Huawei GPON EG8145V5 in Bridge Mode

🤔 The MAC address on the back of the Huawei device might not be the WAN side MAC address, that would be just the LAN side MAC address. So you would need to find the WAN side MAC address and try to clone that. Have you checked if you can telnet into the Huawei device? It might be easier to identify the correct MAC address in that case.

Also, not sure if you have tried this, but put the BRAS Name under Access Concentrator name in the Asus, leave the Service and Host Uniq ID blank.

In which city are you located btw?

I am located in lucknow . In fact i have also bought something from you on TE many years back.Dont remember what. According to ACTF installer all new cites ACT is expanding are gettting these devices. The still have a router support page https://www.actcorp.in/support/router-support and customer support option for "Non ACT routers". i have raised a customer support request , lets see how it turn out.

I will try the telnet way. Ok will also try the BRAS name under Access concentrator.

Couldnt telent . Shot a video for act network administrator

Interesting, that is indeed strange. Can't really think of anything other than the MAC binding of some sort, but then how come Google stuff works and others don't? 🤷‍♂️ I guess have to wait for ACT to fix it.

I am in the same boat trying to put the ACT router into bridge mode. And incidently this is in Lucknow as well. Were you able to resolve this?

The following settings worked for me. I disabled the default profile and created a new profile. There was no need to do any mac binding or other hacks.
