Well for the newbies and the other alike, I would like to put down the default configuratins for all to see or refer in case of goofups et al.

And no matter wat u do while playing around with your first DSL new router.. be sure to get it back online ..... the reason I do so is that there seems to be no clear post talking basic configuration for ppl in distress.... as it happened with me on Day 1 of getting the connection and wasting nearly 2 hrs in trying to get it back online.

Default Configurations for MTNL Broadband Delhi.
Under Home > WAN

ATM VC Settings
--------------------
PVC - Pvc0
VPI - 0
VCI - 32
Virtual Circuit - En
Wan Settings - PPoE/PPPoA

PPoE/PPPoA
--------------
Username - yr telephone number
Password - CA number unless changed
MTU - 1400
MRU - 1492
Default Route - En
NAT - En
Firewall - En
IP Control - Dynamic
Static IP - none

ATM
----
Service Category - UBR
PCR - none
SCR - none

Other suggestions/recomd :-
#1 Please always change yr DSL Web console pwd (Default U/P - admin/admin) (Tools>Admin)
#2 Also change the default login password (Default pwd assigned is your CA no.)
#3 Always make a back of the config for easy restoration (Tools>System)
#4 Also Remember : Resetting to Factory Defaults isn't that dangerous as projected, on the contrary, its a saviour in cases of screwups. (Tools>System)
#5 Always keep all options of Firewall enabled on the DSL router (Advance>Firewall)
#6 Always prefer connect via the ethernet network port rather than USB, as the latter connection is extremely buggy and unreliable

Is it okay to disable NAT, doesn't it interfere with p2p?

In the pic he has firewall disabledbutin text he han enabledtell me wat to domine is disabnled

By default the firewall is disabled and NAT is kept enabled.I was thinking maybe if we just disable the NAT we wont need to do port forwarding and stuff.I think.

Ppl using NATting and Portfwding, need to provide their feedback as to wat would be best option to use... no idea for now on that as I am on bridgemode (details to do so will eventually be re-posted)

hmm i had disabled NAT once. but it didnt work for me. i still had to forward ports to use bit tornado.. (Didnt try bitcomet though).... hmm firewalling is a good option too.. but i keep it disabled most of the time cause my router is off most of the time 😛..

Disabling NAT doesnt helpIt simply refuses to make connection to MTNL servers. As said b4 portforwarding is must for P2P
