Application Guard Extension - Chrome Web Store

View untrusted websites in a separate Microsoft Edge browsing window to help protect your device from advanced threats.
"The Windows Defender Application Guard Extension protects your device from advanced attacks by redirecting untrusted websites to an isolated version of the Microsoft Edge browser. Using a unique hardware-based isolation approach, Application Guard opens untrusted websites inside a lightweight container that is separated from the operating system via Hyper-V virtualization technology. If an untrusted website turns out to be malicious, it remains within Application Guard’s secure container, keeping the device and your enterprise data protected.
This extension ensures that untrusted websites open securely inside Application Guard's isolated environment while trusted websites, as defined by your IT policy and enterprise administrator, continue to open in this browser. If a website is untrusted, you can use this extension to manually open it in an isolated Application Guard session.

Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18358 | Windows Experience Blog

The extensions for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox automatically redirect untrusted navigations to Windows Defender Application Guard for Microsoft Edge. The extension relies on a native application that we’ve built to support the communication between the browser and the device’s Application Guard settings.

When users navigate to a site, the extension checks the URL against a list of trusted sites defined by enterprise administrators. If the site is determined to be untrusted, the user is redirected to an isolated Microsoft Edge session. In the isolated Microsoft Edge session, the user can freely navigate to any site that has not been explicitly defined as trusted by their organization without any risk to the rest of system. With our upcoming dynamic switching capability, if the user tries to go to a trusted site while in an isolated Microsoft Edge session, the user is taken back to the default browser.

of course, mozilla has their own container platform for this. this one only seems to work with windows 10.
