Well its not working here in surat, YOU Broadband always have unstable routing, 3 days ago speedtest.net was not opening.

@romil123 do a trace route to find out at which hop it fails and raise this with YBB support. The fault may or may not be with YBB but with a downstream router.

This is what I get:

tracert 1.1.1.1

Tracing route to one.one.one.one [1.1.1.1]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms 100.69.0.1
2 3 ms 3 ms 3 ms Pune-Core01.youbroadband.in [203.187.215.1]
3 28 ms 28 ms 28 ms 125.18.243.241
4 29 ms 29 ms 29 ms 182.79.203.197
5 29 ms 29 ms 29 ms 182.79.223.54
6 27 ms 27 ms 27 ms one.one.one.one [1.1.1.1]

Trace complete.

For me, ping times to google.com and to Google DNS is 4 ms

Please copy/paste the trace route and it may be easier to decipher where it is failing.

Also, have you contacted YBB's support # and have them create a trouble ticket? They should know about this error otherwise it won't get resolved!

PS - this is not an issue with YBB...probably with a downstream provider. In my case the IP 182.79.203.197 is owned by Airtel. In your case, the hop IP 122.15.253.226 is registered to Vodafone India. So you need to check with YBB, register a trouble ticket and have them sort it out.

PPS - corrected IP and owner

ping to 1.1.1.1 was working few weeks ago

@romil123, see my reply above your most recent message with the trace route. The point of failure occurs after 122.15.253.226 which is registered to Vodafone India. Raise a ticket with YBB support.

@romil123 I get 4 ms ping time to Google's DNS and I never bother about Cloudflare. Google's servers are the fastest using multiple ISPs (4 including Jio's MiFi) at my place. The only reason to use CloudFlare or OpenDNS is if one has privacy concerns.

So YBB has been down in my area of Pune for the past 16 hours. Not good..pfSense has been automatically routing traffic via Airtel.

EDIT: YBB service back up again at 1:15 pm

I went through the thread! I am also having the same issue, because of YBB 's shitty routing I am getting 150ms ping on Singapore servers while playing Fortnite while all the other ISPs are getting around 70. Fortnite uses AWS Singapore server. Were you guys able to fix the routing problem in your cities? I have attached a latency test for AWS servers which is horrible and the tracert for the singapore server. Everytime I register a complaint they just check the speed and note it as solved.

@hades the reason they close the request is because you have a home broadband connection. They are not obliged to provide you with an low latency internet connection suitable for gaming but only one that suffices for domestic internet use. Sorry, but that's the way it is. Consider opting for another service provider if this becomes a pain point.

The uploads speeds on fast.com barely reach 15Mbps (with a 200Mbps connection). It used to be 25Mbps UL pretty consistently. The download speeds are fluctuating quite a bit too.
