Tata Sky is set to launch its own library of content called Binge service, which would join the growing list of content aggregators in the country. The app will serve as a window for over-the-top video platforms to showcase their content. The new Tata Sky Binge app will work on a subscription-based model, and will be available for Rs 249 per month. The platform will offer streaming content from various partners including Hotstar, Hungama Play, Sun Nxt. Additionally, those subscribing to Binge will also get Video on Demand (VOD) library of Tata Sky, thus allowing users to catch up on missed television shows or episodes on the app.

In addition to this new OTT plan, Tata Sky has also tied up with Amazon to offer its services via the Fire TV streaming stick. One device is being allotted to a single subscriber ID and since the device belongs to the company, it is being offered to customers on the basis of trust.

Just opted for it. Let's see how it goes.

Interesting, where do you sign up for it?

I got a call from CC regarding it. Maybe try contacting them to see if its available at your place.

Also they will give you access to Premium accounts of 4 services - Hotstar, Eros Now, Hungama Play and Sun nxt.

I called them up, apparently you can avail the service only if your account is eligible. And it seems to be based on the registered pin code. I was told the offer is not activated on my account and if it becomes available someone would reach out to me.

My guess is that they are launching it only in cities for now.

They are running a free trial for 30 days. Looks like their service didn't pick off so they have even added prime video for free for first 90 days.
I ordered mine and I will return it after free period ends.

Well, if it also lets you watch live TV, I find it worth. I could use it on a secondary TV and watch live TV as well. Tata Sky already allows you to do that using their watch.tatasky.com site and their mobile app, bit can't cast or make it work on the TV, so if this service lets you do that, I'd sign up.

I will check and report. It does allow you to watch missed shows from any channel for last 7 days. Haven't noticed if those 7 days count today as well.

Only missed content from last seven days. They have already been providing this catchup service on HD pvr boxes for over 8 years.

Oh that's sad, I was hoping the app would allow live TV also. Well, without live TV it isn't that attractive to me.

But still if they offer a trial plan for me, I'd still want to just check it out.

I had a chat with them through their website and apparently its available only in Delhi/NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru
