ui is messed up. Paytm show cards already saved in the account. PhonePe is asking you to enter your card number.
and of course, they cannot show any data connected to the card so that you are sure that you are paying on the right card.
on the payment page middle eight digits are hidden lol. i mean seriously. what the fuck.

made a payment. at least it is now showing the card for which i have paid once in the list. middle eight digits are still hidden so basically, first payment is always going to be adventure.

some things are just idiotic. here is how the process goes.

  1. I select MasterCard.
  2. I enter my card number. There is only one field. I enter the number just once. Most apps would ask you to enter the card number twice. Even obfuscate one of the two entries so that you do not end up replicating the same wrong number twice. Not here.
  3. On the payment screen, PhonePe obfuscates the credit card number. There is no security issue here to show the freaking credit card number here! It's like credit card companies obfuscating OTPs on the payment page which they do for some weird reason.
  4. Payment happens. The number is now saved in obfuscated form on the feature section. So, you still have no idea if the number is accurate.

update... they added saved cards in the view next day to the post above. so much easier to pay credit card bills now.
i did a test payment and it was deposited just fine. got the confirmation in 2-3 days.
 
MobiKwik is also enabled for cc payment.

Btw you can cut and paste the cc number in PhonePe and MobiKwik... but not possible in Paytm.

PhonePe and Paytm are both fetching saved cards now. so that's one safety net. paid my cards through paytm last month and phonepe this month. worked well in both cases.
 
The delay is bit frustrating. I used to pay SBICard by neft and it would get credited on same day. Now paying on their website gets credited almost instantly.
 
Neft and bill desk on stanchart take same time. So no improvement for me 😔
