@C3PO the 777 (50 mbps 500GB FUP) and 1277 (100 mbps 750GB FUP) plans are no longer daily FUP, they were reverted back to monthly FUP in most circles, certainly in Maharashtra.

You have a point because, yes, BSNL will never change unless some dumb babu or dumber politician gets them to modify it. Sometimes I believe BSNL deserves to be split up and privatised or even left to die. Ditto with Air India. These people have had a ball of a time at the public's expense over the past 40-50 years selling sub standard services.

@vishalrao I am not sure because this official told me it is applicable. Well, anyway, I will discuss this point with them again if these guys turn up at my door for the formalties. I had told him clearly this is a trial nothing else and if I don't like the service i will have it disconnected within two months.

first thing is removing dead weight from staff. that means firing people. that means having someone with balls to do that. that means competent board at top. also there are many assets with bsnl that includes pan india fiber backbone, land and virtually unlimited funding from government. it still can be revived

You may think I'm a horrible person for saying this, But I'm looking forward to the day all these BSNL employees going jobless.

I suffered five years having a connection from them and the connection would go out even if there was a slight breeze and they would avoid me like I am begging them to lend me money. They are horrible. We pay for them yet they treat their customers as if we are getting it for free. Fuck them.

bullshit. PSUs are lethargic af. When ACT (beam fiber) started providing good competition in hyd, bsnl service magically improved. however their plans were still shit. when I finally went to cancel my bnsl, dude was like "Beam fiber?" I said yup and he said ok. I asked him if bsnl is planning to compete with it and he said proposal already sent up, they'll increase data soon.

that actually happened, after 3 years. by them beam fiber spread whole city and tikona disapperared as well.
